GO TIME!

Okay guys, I hope everyone had a great vacation (sorry if you didn't), but we're back in school now, and everyone else has been back for two months, which is bad news for us, as we get to play Catch-Up. Joy.
Anyway, Spring State is happening April 11-13. The registration deadline is March 18, two weeks from today's meeting, and the registration fee is $140 (I know, it's gone up since Fall State). The recycling program is doing well, but it hasn't reached the level I was hoping for to date, so if you want to go, we can help you pay your way, but you'll be paying most of it.
If we do better with the recycling program in the future, we may be able to pay for everyone who wants to go fully, so it's time to redouble our efforts; remember, this is going back to you! We want to go school-wide with this, to get that many more bottles, but that doesn't mean that you should stop! Remember, every bottle you nab is that much less money you have to pay in the future!
In order to further redouble our efforts, we'll be sending around a contact sheet during the next meeting. It'll require your name, phone number, and email, as we're taking a more proactive move in communication and activities. Using lunchtime for the club has done well so far, but we don't debate too much and we don't get nearly as much done as we want. So, in the future, through phone calls and email blasts, we'll be brainstorming ideas, taking votes, and generally getting input from you guys, so that we can spend lunch doing what the club is for.
Finally, as we talked about last year, we're hoping to get a mini-convention underway at our school, and while I need to deal with most of it, we need to deal with the important stuff together- like what general theme and events it will have. Last semester, we came up with the idea for a theme centering around education; next meeting will deal with the remainder of Spring State business, the contact list, and the mini-con, as well as what we'll do next week. Don't forget!

Welcome Back A-Track

Hey guys, welcome back! I want to say that we should keep our chapter going strong. Please attend the regular meetings every Tuesday during lunch at room 317. We need to discuss a lot about future upcoming events. See you tomorrow.
